Southern Africa
Botswana
Low-volume, high-wilderness — the water world of the Okavango Delta and the elephant kingdoms of Chobe.

Botswana chose wilderness over volume decades ago, and it shows — this is the most exclusive safari country in Africa, where a camp might have eight tents and no neighbours for miles. The Okavango Delta is the wonder: a flood that arrives in the dry season and turns the Kalahari into a maze of channels you explore by mokoro. It isn’t cheap, but nowhere does remoteness this gracefully.
