About
Why this site exists
I spend my year on the road across Africa, sleeping in the camps and lodges so I can tell you what they are really like. No sponsorships, no agency — just field notes.
There is a lot of safari information online, and most of it is trying to sell you something. Lulumizi isn't. I'm not an agency and I don't take commissions — this is simply where I write down what I learn, honestly, so that anyone researching a safari can find a straight answer.
How I work
I travel constantly, and I stay in the camps and lodges I write about. When something is wonderful, I'll tell you why. When it isn't worth the money, I'll tell you that too. Thefield notes grow every time I'm back from a trip, organised bycountry so you can follow the thread.
What I sell
The one thing I do sell is knowledge: a small library ofpremade itineraries — complete, day-by-day plans built from real journeys. Buy one and you skip the months of research. Everything else here is free, and always will be.
Found something out of date, or want to know something I haven't covered yet? I'd love to hear from you.
